About me
My interest in health and homeopathy began as an animal lover working with horses in my late teens. As a homeopath for over 30 years, my work has encompassed all areas of health and health management including chronic and acute illness.
I have lived in Wales from the age of 14, the last 25 years of which have been in Swansea and I count myself as adopted Welsh.
My mother worked as a Psychotherapist, and I have 2 elder brothers; one is a Professor of Cardiology the other a recently retired scientist specialising in Cancer Research at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, so it was natural that I would develop an interest in health.
I was horse mad as a teenager, and worked with horses until the age of 21 when my interest in homeopathy began; after seeing one horse recover from severe allergy and respiratory problems (he was diagnosed as broken-winded in horse terms) following homeopathic treatment, and another horse with a deep sarcoid avoiding surgery following treatment. Following on from seeing my horse recover totally from his respiratory problems,I had homeopathic treatment myself for asthma and other long-term health problems leading me into wanting to practice homeopathy myself.
My involvement in Homeopathy dates back over 35 years: I attended the British School of Homeopathy from 1987 to 1991, practising as a licentiate until my full registration with the Society of Homeopaths in 1993. I have also been involved in supervising and teaching homeopathy.
I have a particular interest in working with patients who have experienced traumas, including bereavements, accidents, etc., as people can particularly benefit through homeopathic treatment when problems have arisen following trauma. I also have a strong interest in working with women suffering with hormonal imbalances of all kinds.
I trained as a heartmath coach 7 years ago allowing me to incorporate additional ways to manage stress and health on a practical basis.
